In Medusa, Karenna is a young caregiver bound by contract to an ambitious client who cannot bear abandonment. While nursing him for a living, she becomes entrapped, surveilled by security cameras, as her labor pulls her toward a deeper, uncharted frontier. We share more with Karenna than we think.
MEDUSA is the second play in Filloux’s trilogy about the climate crisis. (The other two plays in the trilogy are OLIVIA and DEEP TIME.)
Karenna sings a few songs, with lyrics by the playwright. The music for these songs is composed by Karyn Levitt, with recordings available here:
